Wall Rider: The New Line Rider?
See this video and check it out for yourself. The line rider mode comes in later in the movie.
Just a Drunk little Diddy
If you thought his lyrics were eloquent, listen to him drunk freestyle about skin care!
Street Fighter: The Old Generation
Here is your daily dose of Street Fighter. Now, I love this game. Capcom really did an awesome job, I remember all those days of playing it back in the SNES and even though my brother never let me have the first player controller. That bastard. But here's a plug for him anyways! Check out his music. Now on to the videos:

Jessica Simpson is a Klingon
I tried out MyHeritage.com's facial recognition software and this is what came up:

Basically, you upload a picture of yourself and it shows you which famous people you most resemble. Apparently Commander Worf is a skinny blond girl. I bet you it was the chin that did it.
As for me, I'm officially a hot Asian girl:

Update: On further inspection, actually, I should have caught this yesterday, there is one picture that has the same girl, her first and last name are just switched (in Japan, you usually call someone by their Last Name if you are not close to them).

Numa Numa Redux
It'd been a while since the last time I saw this video, now that Numa Numa guy, Gary Brolsma, just launched a new video and a new website.
Who was insightful enough to give this kid $45,000 for a contest you ask? Seattle-based Experience Studios, is the answer you are looking for. Unfortunately, their video falls far short of expectations. And the song isn't that great either.
I found these videos to be much more entertaining:

AutoRoll Beta, MyBlogLog and Blogger Outreach
Crazyness! The 2000 Blogger experiment (which has a new home) is really giving my little blog some coverage, despite the fact that no one probably reads this stuff.
Today I just received an email from Jean-Baptiste Rudelle, CEO of Criteo, a Paris based company, about their widget, AutoRoll.
Well, I work for a Web Ad/Marketing company, so I'm not going to lie, I've been guilty of sending a few of these to bloggers (hopefully, they thought they were useful rather than spammy!). But I'm wondering if other people felt as giddy as I did to get my first one! Yay for recognition!
So before I checked out their product, I did some research, and as I figured, it seems like they are targeting the 2000 blogger list based on some of the blog posts I've found on the Intraweb.
I just signed up for AutoRoll(beta) and MyBlogLog. A quick comparison:
AutoRoll vs. MyBlogLog
Sign up: Sign ups were easy, and painless.
Widget Configuration: AutoRoll beat the pants out of MyBlogLog. They let you at least enter the values for the widget without making you pain through the javascript embed or giving you a hack stylesheet to put on the site's template. Props.
Widget Installation: I had problems getting MyBlogLog to look like what I want the first time and I'm still pissed at that. Adding the widget was simple enough, editing it was a pain. Then there were the other added most popular link tracker and such for MyBlogLog, ugh, after trying to get it to the color scheme of the site for 5 minutes I just said "Delete."
Functionality: So AutoRoll actually comes with links. Good? Bad? Well, it states on their site that it might take a few days for links on AutoRoll to actually be relevant on the site. Let's see if it works. MyBlogLog apparently will lose the tracker ability in 3 days unless I upgrade to MyBlogLog Pro... WTF, mate. Well, it's not like I would use their site for that functionality anyways.
This post is getting to be rather big, so I'll stop here, let's see how they compare in the next few days.

XKCD and Web Comics
I love comics, I'm a nerd, I'll admit. There's only a few, however, that I have on my Google RSS feeder. XKCD is one of them, I even have them on my blogroll!
If you haven't seen them yet, it's a bit of nerdy humor, but I love it. Props to Randall Munroe for, well, being funny.

MIT Students could get 20 years for hacking
I don't usually post things of real importance here, but I couldn't let this pass my attention: The Boston Globe reported this morning that 3 MIT students, caught trying to do a hack at the MIT Faculty Club had been charged with breaking and entering and trespassing. They want to give them 20 years!
A quick facebook later and I find I don't really know any of these kids, but that's besides the point. What the fuck is going on here? MIT has always held a "turn a blind eye" approach when it comes to hacks, regardless of the size. Well, hacks that keep within the spirit of hacks: i.e. Don't break shit. Don't kill anyone.
I think that if this goes through, these kids will get more jail time than drug dealers or murderers. I wonder if they found some hash and a dead body with those them...
Update: If you can't get into the Boston Globe site because it is asking you to register and you are too lazy, check this out: BugMeNot.com. ButMeNot.com actually has a lot of login/pass info for sites that ask you to register. I actually hate registering for things like this, since I always forget my login/pass. Check it out, use it, enjoy.
But in this case, the three students face up to 20 years in prison if they are convicted of felony charges of breaking and entering and trespassing.
Charged on Oct. 23, Kristina Brown, 19; David Nawi, 29; and Matthew Peterson, 19, are due back in court on Feb. 28, when they will seek to have the charges dismissed.

One more from the MIT banks
Here's another startup one of my friends is working on: NETWIRK
This is another Ruby on Rails app that my friend Zack thought up. Reminds me of my days running around mIRC and writing scripts to download MP3s and Anime on a 56Kbps. This one is still early beta, so it's got a few bugs, but Zack assures me that they will have a rework up soon.

Todd And Japanese Speaking people
I saw this on Todd And, one of the few marketing blogs that I have on my Google CSS Feeder.
This is just one of a few reasons why I like John Mayer:
In my opinion, everyone should learn how to speak Japanese

Ruby on Rails Vs. PHP
I'm a PHP aficionado, I've been using it for years, I know it well enough to be able to make a web app of any complexity given a certain long amount of time. Yesterday, I downloaded Ruby on Rails and started to play with it. I was really surprised at how fast and efficient development was. It really surprised me. If you haven't tried it yet, jump in, watch one of the sample videos they have on their website. I think the hardest part was installing the thing, and even that was easy.

What I love about Boston
Ah, Boston, Beantown, Bvegas, the goes to bed at 2am. I've been here for about 4 1/2 years and I gotta say I love this town. It's big enough to get the city experience, but its small enough that I can drive my car around, find parking and not go nuts because there are a few million people all around me every single second.
I also love being around entrepreneurs. Almost every kid I know around here has ambitions about creating something, making it profitable and hitting the mother load. These kids are brilliant and their work is really freaking amazing. Here's one example:
My friend Scott Jehl came up with this baby and designed and coded it himself. Props to Scott for doing it all on his own. Entrepreneurship kicks ass, let's make some money.

Chuck Norris, Sexy Science And Dynamite.
Chuck Norris is fair and balanced, like the axe this rapper used to rip him the proverbial "new one."
On other news:
Scientists at Harvard, apparently, have discovered a way to stop light right on it's tracks.
Also reported was that the light was easier to stop it on it's tracks due to the "innate" differences between male light and female light. After early attempts to use a more common crystalline structure known as a "glass ceiling," the scientists finally made a breakthrough.

On other news:
“That’s the sort of stuff we find really sexy in this business,” said Eric A. Cornell, a senior scientist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
Scientists at Harvard, apparently, have discovered a way to stop light right on it's tracks.
In 1999, Dr. Hau headed a team of scientists that slowed light, which travels a brisk 186,282 miles a second when unimpeded, to a leisurely 38 miles an hour by shining it into an exotic, ultracooled cloud of sodium atoms... Then, in 2001, Dr. Hau and a second team of physicists, this one from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, brought light to a complete halt by slowly turning off the laser.

Bacon and Beer - Good. Bacon Beer - Bad.
Tonight I had a beer that tasted like bacon. Sounds like a frat boy fantasy: "Hey guys, you know what would be awesome? A beer. That tastes like bacon!"
Well, I had one. It's not awesome. In fact, its horrible. Don't ever drink a whole bottle of it. One sip was like eating a strip of bacon. Drinking the whole thing was like eating a rack of bacon. But worse.
